The Road to Emmaus: Walking together in friendship

The Road to Emmaus group (RTE) was created in 2023 for single Catholics, aged 35-50, in our Maronite Eparchy. With a mission to establish new friendships with like-minded people, we aim to provide a welcoming space for single Catholics navigating life and faith together, walking in faith, building meaningful connections and a stronger sense of community, and supporting each other spiritually and socially.

Our current membership of 150 men and women come from multiple churches across the Eparchy. The RTE committee organises an official event on the first Saturday of every month, either a social activity or spiritual event. In 2025, these included walks, brunches, bowling, movies, mini-golf and dinners, a pre-Lenten evening led by Father Danny Nouh, and Lenten Lectio Divina evenings led by our chaplain, Father John-Paul Bassil.
