Events Committee

The Events Committee at Our Lady of Lebanon Co-Cathedral is responsible for the planning, management, and execution of major parish events, liturgies, and processions. Working closely with the Dean of the Cathedral and various parish committees, the team ensures that each event is well-coordinated, meaningful, and reflective of the spiritual and community life of the parish.

The committee’s responsibilities include scheduling events, coordinating volunteers, arranging entertainment and third-party vendors, managing traffic and logistics, and brainstorming new initiatives to enrich parish life. Beyond major parish events, the committee provides support to other parish groups, helping ensure smooth execution of initiatives throughout the church calendar.

Over the past year, the Events Committee coordinated a range of significant liturgical and community events, including:

• Hosanna Sunday Mass CelebrationsPassion Week Services

• Processions marking the conclusion of the Months of May and October, as well as Corpus Christi and the Sacred Heart of Jesus

• Feast of the Assumption Celebrations

• Christmas Carols

These occasions bring individuals and families together in a spirit of reverence, celebration, and community, offering meaningful opportunities for parishioners to engage more deeply in the liturgical life of the Church.

Highlights from 2024 included the Christmas Carols, where the committee collaborated with multiple vendors to host a food truck evening, and helped facilitate the parish’s first major Christmas play, marking a new chapter in creative and spiritual outreach.
